Welcome to the online information site of the France Visa Application Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

VFS has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Embassy of France in Riyadh to facilitate visa applications to France and Schengen countries.

Procedure to follow:

Schengen (Short term) Visas - Tourist, Business, Medical Treatment and Transit Category A

Applications with all the necessary documents will be accepted from 0900 hours to 1600 hours Saturday to Wednesday.
The processing time for assessment of a Schengen Visa is between 10 to 15 working days.

Please Note: The processing time is an indication only. Applicants can always be requested by the respective Embassy to appear for an interview. The Embassy reserves the right to ask for further documentation.

Long Term Visas - Student, Employment etc. are advised to directly apply at the Embassy of France, Diplomatic Quarters, Riyadh only Tuesday between 830hrs and 1030hrs

Visa Application Process
Step 1 : Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to ‘All about your visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.
Step 2 : Book an appointment to visit Visa Application Centre (Strongly recommended): To avoid waiting time due to high volume of applicants applying at the same time, we strongly recommend you book an appointment before visiting the Visa Application Centre. Booking and appointment is FREE OF CHARGE and is subject to availability. More details available under Schedule an Appointment.
Step 3 : Submit an application
Applicants /representatives are requested to visit the Joint Visa Application Centre to submit a visa application. A head of the family or any responsible member of the same family is eligible to lodge applications on behalf of all members of the family. However, representative/s will have to carry a written letter of authorisation duly endorsed by the applicant. The authorisation letter should include complete details of the representative's name and any identification number. The authorisation letter will be included in the documentation submitted along with the application.

The authorised representative will be required to prove his/her identity with the identification number mentioned in the letter (Letter Of Authority OR Power Of Attorney Letter.doc)
Step 4 : Pay applicable Fee: Please check ‘Visa Fee’ table provided under the visa category you are applying for. Visa Application Centre accepts the fee in CASH ONLY. Submission Officer at the Visa Application Centre will advise you on total payable amount payable in local currency only (SAR). A receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Please note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:

a) subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport
b) subscribe for SMS Service where Visa Application Centre sends application status on applicant’s mobile and via email
